Hopi Tribe & Melvin Consulting unveil cultural art installations at Hopi Health Care Center

POLACCA — Dec. 11, 2025 — Melvin Consulting is proud to announce a significant step forward in the renovation of the Hopi Health Care Center, a transformative project carried out through a Public Law 93-638 contract with the Indian Health Service. This renovation represents more than a physical renewal—it is an opportunity to reflect Hopi values, culture and community strength through the integration of Hopi art into the facility’s design. Melvin Consulting serves as the owner’s representative for the Hopi Tribe.

Through the 638 authority, the Hopi Tribe is leading the renovation in a way that ensures the Hopi Health Care Center not only delivers high-quality health care but also honors the cultural identity and wellness teachings that guide Hopi life. The Hopi Tribe’s Principal Contract Oversight Team oversees the 638 contract, which includes the art in the facility.

Daryl Melvin (Hopi Navajo), owner, shared that Melvin Consulting Inc. is a Native American founded and owned company, based in Nuvatukya'ovi (Flagstaff), providing engineering and management consulting. Founded in 2016, the firm has grown and continues to expand its multi-state services.
